Primary Function of Position:
We are seeking a Business Process Analyst to support the Program Management Office (PMO) team, focused on new product development business process and tools initiatives. The Business Analyst will help define and optimize business processes and support activities on process improvement and tools projects while also helping to ensure compliance with established Design Control and Project Management procedures. The candidate will interface with other groups within the company to capture customer needs and optimize processes and tools to support these needs. The ideal candidate is a strong and confident communicator able to facilitate meetings, convert ideas into efficient workflows and processes, and effect organizational change to ensure adoption of new processes and tools.

Skill/Job Requirements:
  • Work with Director of New Product Development Process and Tools in definition, design and adoptions of new product development processes for the Program Management Office
  • Develop and communicate business processes for new product development and portfolio management including resource management
  • Effectively utilize process improvement principles and tools to support Intuitive Surgical manage resources, reduce costs, maintain and accelerate timelines, and track and execute projects
  • Provide leadership on process implementation and adoption, track and resolve action items, and coordinate resources to deliver new improvements for the organization
  • Integrate industry best practices into new tools and processes while protecting company’s culture of innovation and agility
  • Support risk management for assigned projects by identifying and evaluating potential issues, developing practical mitigations, and escalating to management when needed.
  • Provide clear internal and external communications relevant to assigned projects including meeting minutes and status\
  • Monitor and prepare project quality metrics for periodic review\
  • Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ years of previous related experience desired, medical devices experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Scripting experience such as Python, JavaScript, SQL
  • Should be highly proficient in MS Office, Visio, and enterprise database tools (CA PPM/Clarity preferred)
  • Ability to switch between many different projects quickly
  • Additional specialized training in a discipline such as database design, enterprise tool administration, or technical trainer
  • Passion for executing projects creating robust and reliable tools and processes
